Welcome. Seeking the help of a therapist involves great courage. At times, we all feel a little off, unbalanced, and in need of some support. If you’re here because: you’re struggling with life in the military, you’ve experienced a trauma or grief that has you stuck, life is feeling overwhelming, you can’t seem to relax or control your worrisome thoughts, or maybe you and your partner aren’t able to connect or communicate emotionally or intimately, I’m here to help.
I treat individuals and couples. While each session is tailored to the unique situation at hand, when working with individuals, I tend to use empathy and transparency to empower you and help you feel heard while improving your communication, boundaries, and sense of self. For Couples, the focus tends to be on communication skills and emotional intimacy. I focus on helping you turn towards each other, practice vulnerability, and find a way to negotiate life that results in a win-win for the couple.
With an eclectic approach encompassing Strength-Based Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, as well as Gottman and PACT couples therapy my goal is for you to feel understood and supported while we work together on moving you forward and feeling in control.
I have a deep respect for my clients, for their wisdom, and their struggles. My work emphasizes on supporting you, since you are ultimately the expert of your life, to help you get back to the satisfying, healthy, and BALANCED life you deserve to live.
